He interned at the Hospital of St. Raphael/Yale University School of Medicine and was chief resident in ophthalmology at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Gordon published numerous articles on ophthalmology and refractive surgery in prestigious journals such as the American Journal of Ophthalmology, Eye, Journal of Neuro-Ophthalmology, and Investigative Ophthalmology and Visual Science. He is a reviewer for Ophthalmology, the journal for the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Gordon is currently Clinical Associate Adjunct Professor of Ophthalmology at the New York Eye & Ear Infirmary. He is one of the founding members of the Excimer Laser Users Group at the Infirmary. He is on staff at both Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern, NY and The River Drive Laser and Surgery Center in Elmwood Park, NJ. He is currently the Medical Director of the Palisades Laser Eye Center located in Hudson Valley. He is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, the International Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, the American Glaucoma Society, and the New York Ophthalmology Society.
